I was reading this article about the whale-hunt in Japan ceasing. Then I saw this add for “all you can eat”…. I couldn’t help thinking it was whale… Don’t get me wrong, I eat game-meat, and I don’t pass judgment one way or the other on the whaling-debat. But I am still grossed out by this….
How do you turn on Bluetooth when the checkbox is grayed out?
MacOS isn’t ask easy as people sometimes make it out to be….
そういえば、faq.tokyu.co.jpには「Powered by OKWave」と書いてあるから、それはちょっぴりイノベーティブかなぁ。。
This article is mostly a test to see if my Android phone’s WordPress App can upload media… It failed on video… let’s see how it does with a picture…
What the hell is Set Overage Protection????
Well I’m buying a new hosting package at Godaddy.com, and it was one of the options. ?So I clicked on the help icon to get more info, and it said:
Bandwidth Overage Protection shields you from costly bandwidth overage fees by automatically suspending your account when its allotted bandwidth is exceeded. Your suspended account is reinstated at the start of your next billing cycle or when additional bandwidth is purchased.
Basically there are no surprises this way…. I was thinking about if Rogers
or any of the celphone carriers I’ve ever worked with had an option like this, particularly around data… But it would probably fry their business models… Like travelers check companies who make most of their profit from CCs which never get cashed, the celphone carriers probably rely on people signing up for the wrong plan and?unknowingly?going way over what they wanted to spend…
My son was showing me some fish he’s interested in. But I could barely see them when I was using my Mac. Then called him back on Skype from my Dell Mini 10v, running Ubuntu 10.04 with Skype for Linux, and noticed a huge difference… Click to open the images at full size.

Tried to install Windows 7 onto my Dell Mini 10 v. ?Used USB memory stick because I don’t have a DVD drive for it. Failed.. got:
“Windows could not collect information for [OSImage] since the specified image file [install.wim] does not exist.”
Oh well, I guess I’ll stick with Ubuntu…
It was working fine yesterday. I was running a MySQL database (which tends to be one of the most CPU intensive things I do), and the performance was fine. It was working fine this morning too, but then I decided to reboot (I can’t remember why) and bam!…. It crashed… It tells me to press F2 or F12 for boot up options, but nothing happens when I do (The Mini 10V requires you press the FN key to enable the function keys). Instead I get the following screens, and it just hangs on the second one… The main error seems to be:
mkdir: cannot create directory /var’: Not a directory
